On March 20, NYE General Sales Manager, Rich Artigiani, was pleased to announce the winner of the NYE Automotive Giveaway – Marie LaPolla of Utica, who won a two-year lease on a new 2012 Buick Regal!
“I went to the Home Show because I was considering redoing my bathroom,” LaPolla said. “While I was there, I entered the Buick raffle. I never thought I’d win.” Even when she received the call from Artigiani, she was still not convinced that she was the grand prizewinner. “Honestly, I’ve never known anyone who won something like this,” she said. “I’m still in shock.”
LaPolla, who was accompanied by her son, Sam, to the NYE dealership to collect her car, said that Buicks were always a favorite car of her late husband, also named Sam. “When I won, one of my friends said, ‘That’s Sam watching over you.’ And I believe it.” Her son, who was clearly overjoyed with his mother’s winning, agreed. “Mom is long overdue for something good to happen for her,” he said. “I’m just so happy for her.”
